MTI Ltd. (hereinafter MTI) and KEYVAN Aviation (Keyvan Havacılık A.Ş., hereinafter KEYVAN), a Turkish provider of global aeronautical data, concluded a mutual referral agreement on Wednesday, August 20. Through this agreement, both companies will showcase and propose their aviation solutions to each other’s markets and customers.
This collaboration aims to create new business opportunities and contribute to a safer, more efficient operating environment by delivering solutions that support airlines and airports worldwide.
◆ Background to the collaboration
Until now, MTI has provided 3D ARVI only in Japan. 3D ARVI is an aviation weather system that visualizes meteorological phenomena in 3D, enabling pilots and flight dispatchers to quickly and intuitively grasp real-time information.
However, improving safety, boosting operational efficiency, and reducing costs are becoming increasingly important in the airline industry, not only in Japan but also around the world. According to FAA statistics, more than 70% of delays longer than 15 minutes in the U.S. national aviation system between June 2017 and May 2023 were due to weather conditions*1. European research has also confirmed that airspace congestion accounts for 19% of delays, and that its impact has increased at an average annual rate of 17% between 2005 and 2010*2.
As flight operations face increasingly diverse challenges, advanced use of navigation data, covering weather, routes, airports, obstacles, and airspace restrictions, helps ensure stable flight plans. It supports route optimization, prevents delays, and strengthens risk assessment and contingency planning in areas with complex terrain and weather.
MTI offers 3D aviation weather visualization technology developed in Japan, supporting the safe operation of aircraft. Meanwhile, Turkey-based KEYVAN is a global aeronautical data provider certified by EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), delivering state-of-the-art navigation databases and related services to airlines and airports worldwide.
This collaboration between our two companies will allow us to deliver aviation solutions to a broader range of countries and customers, leveraging the technologies and expertise we have developed in the Japanese and Turkish markets.
◆ Collaboration framework
This collaboration is a mutual referral agreement through which both companies will leverage each other’s sales channels and networks to showcase and propose their products and services in both markets.
MTI will introduce and propose KEYVAN’s navigation data and aviation information services to airlines and airports in the Japanese market, while KEYVAN will showcase MTI’s 3D aviation weather visualization system in the global market, including China and the Middle East.
By thereby strengthening our ability to propose solutions that meet the diverse needs of the airline industry, we aim to create new business opportunities and create safer and more efficient operating environments around the world.

<Aviation Weather Systems ARVI and 3D ARVI>
ARVI is an aviation weather system which allows users to check meteorological information that affects aircraft operations and flight plans on a single screen.
The system allows users to check real-time weather phenomena and flight routes at a glance, helping flight dispatchers select routes with good weather conditions for safe flight plans. And, by maintaining smooth operation even when displaying multiple meteorological information sources that involve large amounts of data, ARVI improves the efficiency of operations and allows flight dispatchers and pilots to quickly check for dangerous weather phenomena along their route. MTI also offers 3D ARVI, which visualizes meteorological phenomena in 3D. It helps aircraft ensure safe operation by making it possible to grasp information quickly and intuitively.
